1945年日本战败，住在黑龙江的日本开拓团的村民逃难，奄奄一息的竹内多鹤在逃难中被张俭的父母救回家中，悉心照顾。而多鹤的身份却一直是个难解的谜。张俭的老婆朱小环曾因日本鬼子的追撵跳崖丧失生育能力。张家想为张俭再续二房，多鹤知道后，表示愿意为张家生孩子，以此报答救命之恩。之后，多鹤与张俭生育了一女二男。全国解放后，《婚姻法》公布，张俭不能再有两个媳妇，多鹤遂改变身份为小环的妹妹，孩子们的小姨，与张俭再无男女之事。此后一家人经历了风风雨雨，但亲情和意志使他们度过了难关。。Set in the 1930's, this gangster spoof tells the comic tale of a Johnny Kelly (Michael Keaton) who is forced into a life of crime in order to pay for his ailing mother's medical treatment.
