鄉下青年「阿肯」，平常在加油站上大夜班，漫漫長夜時常想起幼時無數大人們前往工廠上班，村落還生氣勃勃的樣子。這一夜阿肯迎來許久不見的童年玩伴「長腳」，本應是重逢的喜悅，但卻意外揭開阿肯記憶中不願面對的真相。。Centers on the Kilcher family and their community outside Homer, Alaska. Led by patriarch Atz Kilcher, singer Jewel's father, the family have lived on their land for three generations. The show also focuses on the homesteaders who live by the Kilchers, including, Brother Roadkill, who eats animals lying dead on the side of the road.。
