1897年，大韩帝国时代动荡混沌，时有不同罪案发生，别巡检调查队四出调查，找寻破案的线索。 别巡检第2季的时代背景为1897年大韩帝国的国号宣布之后，比第1季还要迟些。高宗自俄罗斯回国后自称为皇帝，由此朝鲜便变为帝国，以阐明国家的自主性和独立性。并且施行了财政、教育、军事等几乎全方位的光武改革，令朝鲜向现代化迈进了一大步。因此这个时期应该是比第1季更为激动人心的时期，然而大韩帝国所追求的新价值，让国民看到的却是比任何时候都强大的同一与自主的混乱。。有听力障碍的珠英（李先彬饰），与妹妹珠憘（韩秀娥饰）终于买下梦寐以求的新房，却没想到噩梦才正要开始。 某天起，珠憘开始被来自公寓某处的神秘噪音折磨得身心俱疲。那让人不耐的楼层噪音，不仅让她无法安睡，更像是潜藏某种黑暗秘密的警告。正当珠英离家工作时，珠憘突然失踪，让惊慌失措的珠英立刻赶回家，并与珠憘的男友基勋（金珉锡饰）联手追查真相。同时，住在楼下的神秘男子（柳炅秀饰）也长期受噪音困扰，认定一切都源于楼上的这对姊妹，让他情绪逐渐崩溃，扬言要对她们痛下杀手…… 真相究竟藏在谁的耳中？噪音背后，又是谁的疯狂正在近逼？。SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。
