“后菜鸟”，是指那些并不指望在职场上靠着拼尽全力向上攀爬的雇员们，他们抱着得过且过的心态，浑浑噩噩的过着每一天。钟雨棠（曾之乔 饰）是天玺集团的秘书，她勤勤恳恳的工作着，希望有朝一日能够晋升成为集团中的首席秘书。谁知道新上任的执行会长，竟然是和自己有着深深误会的童年玩伴纪文凯（炎亚纶 饰），糟糕的是，钟雨棠的种种行径让纪文凯给她贴上了“后菜鸟”的标签，不仅没能获得升职，反而遭到降职。 实际上，纪文凯施展的是激将法，希望能够激起钟雨棠的斗志，而钟雨棠亦希望凭借自己的努力，向纪文凯证明自身的价值。在此过程中，两个人之间碰撞出了耀眼的火花。。Kate Mayer (Leslie Hope) seems to have it all: a nice suburban house, two loving children and a devoted husband.
