李小双与嵩山村的有志青年宋源在大学里相爱，毕业后宋源怀揣创业理想回到家乡，李小双考上了公务员，被选派到嵩山村担任扶贫干部，与自己的丈夫、公婆带领乡亲们一起脱贫致富的故事。对李小双来说，她既是嵩山村的扶贫干部，又是宋山富（宋源父亲）家的儿媳妇。双重身份让她面临两种任务，既要带领全村村民发展致富，又要改变宋山富的守旧理念。在扶贫发展上李小双坚持绿色低碳，指导村民建立农产品网络销售平台，创建环保农家乐，走城乡一体化的路子。在家庭里她运用文化和智慧，改变公爹宋山富的虚荣爱面子及落后思想，将嵩山村和宋家带上了新农村的幸福之路。影片中融入了嵩山旅游、蜜桃产业等，展现了社会主义新农村的新面貌。。A film director gathers his favorite actresses, those he worked with and those he loved.
